Description Strop – Sharpening Hard Felt Wheel 6″ x 1 ” — arbor hole 1/2″   The best and fastest method available! Recommended and used by the best European carvers. In seconds, your tool is razor sharp! The burrs on the inside are removed without turning the tool over. The wheel or disk is manufactured in the US, using a special natural fiber. It will be used for flat tools and curved tools. The wheel dimensions are 6 inches diameter x 1 inch width and it has a ½ inch center/arbor hole. During the sharpening process, the disk will turn in a direction away from the body. Experience shows that the best rotating speed is around 2000 rpm. Higher speeds lead to a reduction in quality of the cutting edge and are not recommended. There is almost no chance of burning the tool. With new or much-worn tools, it is sometimes necessary to pre-grind on a grinding wheel or belt.   Related
