He uses wood handles made of Walnut because he prefers the feel of the wood. All of his knife blades are epoxied in to the handle. His smallest detail knives are mounted in the handle with epoxy. The back edge of the knife blade has been rounded to allow for ease of cutting through the wood. In 2002, he started using laser cut blanks for all his tools.
